Untouched Paradise

Waited for almost two hours in front of the paying counter like a lampooned goal post thinking ever vividly of the days of globalization and this untouched paradise of KSEB[Kerala State Electricity Board].Almost all over the world one gets to pay the bill through credit card ,over the counter through different bank branches , kiosks and here i could see people waiting in the sun to pay their bill with one clerk working out in Machinist fashion [Christian bale - 2004 ]. When will all this change and yeah and as a side note Kerala Gov is a great supporter of Fedora Linux that means all State Gov offices will have linux ,for the record ,the software under UID [under Nandan Nilekani ]is having problem since they dont have the drivers for the Bio-Informatics to work on linux :)

Morbid Filth

Well ,well, well were do i start now from the Ganges to wash off my sin or should they stay with me reminding me of what iam ,or the least to say remind me the filth iam.

Life as i have always maintained is one filled with travesty and connundrums, more one try’s to solve more intriguing it gets.

The one that strictly adheres to the laws of gravitation what that goes up comes down . so be grateful wherever you are because you never know were you will be the next moment .

The truth of life is known to many but accepted by few because for the bitterness it brings to their mundane craving lifestyle .Only way to convince our super IQ charged-up brain is through reading thought provoking books of Vedas,Upanashids, discourses of great people ( Vivekananda,Ramakrishna to name a few from our world).

Martin Luther King - What a Speech

Iam happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable Rights" of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."

But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

But there is something that I must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.

We cannot walk alone.

And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead.

We cannot turn back.

There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their self-hood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating: "For Whites Only." We cannot be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream."¹

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow jail cells. And some of you have come from areas where your quest -- quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive. Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."2

This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.

With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith, we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

And this will be the day -- this will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning:

My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.

Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim's pride,

From every mountainside, let freedom ring!

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true.

And so let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.

Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.

Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.

But not only that:

Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi.

From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

And when this happens, when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Free at last! Free at last!

My Love

I met this person during the toughest times of my life ,he tought me the hardest things slowly but effectively.He taught me love,pain,revenge,betrayal,acceptance and last but not the least how to live a worthy life.Life is one that is lived to make yourself worthy before you and anyone that attains it throughout his life ,he has attained the moksha from re-birth.This person is non-other than the least understood ,the most relative and the less manifested thing with life, Its called the TIME . If you understand it ,you will live a worthy life.

Recession

One thing i know for sure is that the economy is loosing the trust it had ,everyone looks at each other with a sense of doubt .Maybe this is called recession ,were people are afraid to invest.

so how did it work before recession???

Before recession we had credit agencies which used to rate company on their chances of defaulting on a loan .which helped you on deciding the financial acumen of the company.Pension funds were granted permission to invest in private firms so that there return could be maximized.Bank rules were liberalized which help the people in subprime category to take loan ,engage into mortgages etc. This time it was a property boom ,like the blue chip boom we had in 2000.

so dont we have those agencies now???

Well we have them very much ,but inspite of these agencies people started investing in company without looking at their balance sheets. They took huge loans invested in these company entered into speculation, which was later drained off. Pension funds invested in these companys and their money wiped off :( . unemployment started ,loans started defaulting , production decreased ,stagflation took to the roads and rest is history with its fangs prepared to bite the present and future. Tough road ahead with lot of peace bound to loose.

Shame on Yahoo

I had been using yahoomail for a quite a long time .I was one among those who genuinely believed that they revolutionized the way people interact ,gave social networking a start.

So why call yahoo a shame ,i have been using yahoo mail on my explorer 7 once you login to your yahoo account the tab head shows weird script something like #-pg=showfolder******,if you open gmail it shows Gmail-Inbox(1) .so this made me think haven't these people ever remembered to correct this annoying display into something meaningfull like no of mails to read or atleast display the name . Is it that all the yahoo employees use gmail and never saw this :(.

Winning people at the grass root level is the success of any business.Making them feel that they are part of the business ,they are the partners in it is the key . Making a flat hierarchy ,making them believe that they are not working for a generic entity but for a person who understands their cause .People dont want salary rise always they want acknoledgment of their hard work,make them believe that if the organization suceeds they will be the first to benifit .Hmm these are my small thoughts in a small duration :) . And yes one more thing "No one can take away ,what is yours " .

Had been busy for quite a long time ,and my comeback starts with a philosophical concept which i found out :) .everyone says fate is fixed and god has prewritten it and we are all the puppets of his grand show ,i dont agree with it ,after a long time of thinking i have come to the belief that eventhough fate is fixed god has given us the liberty to choose the path to reach that destiny .isn't that wonderfull and if you remember this thing in your life you wouldnt be afraid of taking life as it comes and living the life your way.

Another year Gone By

Hmm ,listening to Creed's My Sacrifice ,i guess its the perfect plot for me to say goodbye to Year -2008. This was an year that changed my life in many sense from personal ,professional and on all goddamn thing you can possible think off. It had been kind of bitter to me an year which made me feel like a "Parapaleto" i guess i have spelled it right its a greek word ,condition of a hero when he realizes all he had known was wrong and he takes a moment to transcend the path to realize his mistakes .

I have lost hope in life and trying hard to regain it by reading some books :) .iam trying to occupie my mind by engaging myself in everything i can do like Playing Guitar,Crosswords,Movies,Blogging and anything i can get my hand on .This also reminds me of a quote " Action is the enemy of thought and friend of flattering illusions" maybe thats what iam actually trying to achieve to forget somethings like some bloddy reminiscence ,that again reminds me of another quote which i cherish remembering "great reminiscence are allegories of human mankind troubled with himself".

What is Society ????

I have been trying to understand .... what is a society ,what are the norms and what classifies you to be social and one of the society.

i couldnt get an answer but what i could lay hands on was a concept which i believe makes one part of the society and its PROBABILITY. The ability to be probable ,in a more decisive form the chances that you make choices which are more probable to happen wereby you move away from taking risks in your life.And when each person does this they follow a path which they feel will lead to less problem,less turmoils and we all go in a line like soldiers ,like disciplined to follow without asking questions .Thats why we see less change in our life ,its same as the person who is living next door and those who dont realize it are just trying to show that they are working hard and as the saying goes " Action is the enemy of thought and the friend of flattering illusions."

So wake up and realize what your life is ,try to take chances ,try to be different and not for the sake of being different and please for gods sake dont try to get yourself immersed in the superfluous activities which will take your thinking power on a ride .

Its always great to think and see where you stand in life so that you can know how you can move ahead from there.

Employee to Employer

My transition from an Employee to an employer had been fast amidst my personal turmoils , i wouldnt like to delve into those since this is purely a techno blog. my new job has taken me to new places, new work and i kinda enjoy .Iam sure my knowledge in my new field will be of interest to people who are willing to learn more things.

My new job is as the owner of an ElectroMechanical company which engages in Building systems and High Volatge Related services.More intresting parts of my job will be posted soon as and when i get time.

Good or Bad? But Feeling Bad!!!

It feels like being in heaven to come back to blogging but with slight variation in the theme of my blog from programming to scrapping about my views and events that shape my life.

Today especially is an improtant day in my life ,some events have happened dont know for sure for gud or bad but i feel bad and vindicated .

Iam contemplating on going on a sabatical from my company which will help me stear my personal life back to track .Sformalities are going on not yet approved from the bigger bosses.

Unleash the beast :- Harley Davidson

Yesterday i heard that Harley Davidson has not dropped the idea of entering the Indian market ,only thing that's making them reluctant to enter the indian market is the import taxes of 60 % and then the extra 30 % of indian tax ,making the cost shoot up to nearly the double ,at whose-price you can buy two scoda and one swift.

I personally believe that we shouldn't be having this much high import duties on goods that are very sophisticated( if i could call them so ) because they just make them out of reach to the common man(or those who aim for the best). And for your kind information iam looking forward to ride one Harley Davidson only diff is that it will be a test ride ,since iam pretty sure i wont be able to afford it .

Google buys Blogger

After a long time i tried loging in to my blog and saw that now ownwards i need to use the google id to login .Ghosssh has google bought Blogger. i tried searching over the google and realized that google had bought Blogger in 2003 and i was not aware of it till now .what a shame right ,its life i guess .I will leave you with some pointers which i found on this buyout
